Sam Turns 4

We celebrated Sam's 4th Birthday ALL week!! On Monday we celebrated with real cupcakes with Daddy before he had to go out of town and on Thursday (15th) we celebrated with a little healthier cake that Sam made with Nana. He had so much making his own cake and truth be known he liked that one even better, because Sam LOVES fruit! If you look closely, you will be able to see that the blueberries spell out SAM. He is really becoming such a "fine young man" as Nana tells him. His manners are blossoming and we are beginning to see all the fruits! Love my little man:)

A Little Giggle with Daddy

Maggie is beginning to really "communicate" with us these days. She giggles and laughs out loud to our silly (only baby crazy parents can make) noises. We love watching her grow, but I will have to say that I do not want this time to go too quickly. She is sleeping so well and has just slipped right into our family as if she has been here all along. My heart almost burst with happiness when I think of how much I love my little family, even on those days that I don't think I am gonna make it. Rob is such a good daddy and he loves "loving" on them!!! I love him for that.

Bath Time Silliness

When baths start around the DeFoor House, I usually end up with a headache, but tonight's bath was unusally entertaining...Foam for everyone!!! Of course I would be lying if I didn't tell you that I did use the "foam" as leverage for behavior while washing hair & bodies and teeth brushing. It worked!!

52 Home Project

52 Home Project
I'm going to borrow this idea from my friends the Young's blog. It's called the 52Home Project. Every weekday for the next 52 weeks, I will (try to) post a picture of ordinary life - our ordinary lives - as seen through the lens of my camera. Feeling pretty certain that I will not make it everyday, but I sure am going to try. Below is a description of how the author of the blog described the project and I thought it would allow me to start posting again without too much time involved, because time right now is something I don't have a lot of. It will just help you see the everyday life here in the DeFoor house. Our everydays can be very funny and definitely worth sharing. I hope you enjoy!!

Ordinary is where we all live most of the time. And yet our mundane, repetitive days are full of enduring work. Homes are being built. Families are being knit together. Little souls are being shaped for eternity. The tedious is, in fact, momentous—when done for the sake of Christ: “…so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior” (Titus 2:10).This truth can get lost in piles of laundry and dirty dishes. We need help to see the glory peaking out from behind the ordinary. Our hope is that you’ll see your own ordinary, yet glorious life in these pictures. That you’ll glimpse the faithfulness of God that undergirds his faithful ones. That you’ll see reflections of the eternal in the everyday.“So teach us to number our days that we will get a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

New Spin on Thigh High Boots

Sam discovered my black boots in my closet the other day and thought he would give them a spin! It was hysterical watching him keeping his balance and maneuvering around the house. He is quite the character these days with dressing up being one of his favorite activities!!

Kate's First Bow

Hallelujah!!! Kate has finally gotten enough hair to put a bow in and she actually will allow it to stay in for more than 2 minutes. This is really big deal, because she has fought anything being on or near her head since the day she was born. Her hair is super fine and so blonde that we do have trouble keeping the bows in, but it is a start people:) Thrilled for this milestone!!

Children's Museum Fun!!

We had a full day at the new Children's Museum with Bebe and Nana! It is truly a beautiful place with so much for the kids to enjoy and explore. It is however extremely cost prohibitive...couldn't believe it. Anyway, the kids had so much fun. Here are a few pics from our trip.
